The Instigator

Operation Snail Mail is the brainchild of Kathy Thuman. She has a history of philanthropy across the state of Nebraska that includes being an honorary board member of the Nebraska Community Foundation, a supporter of the Nebraska Journalism Trust, member of the Nebraska Public Media Foundation, and an outspoken believer in common sense.

Our Inspiration

We owe credit to folks for inspiration and use of images. We would like to thank and acknowledge them here.

Firstly, to @TheShabbyCreekCottage on Instagram, who published Project Mail Storm on April 14, 2025 and inspired this project to sprout in Lincoln, Nebraska. She posts regular updates to her Instagram with check-ins and assignments for PMS. We hope to grow our version across the state and become a thorny rose in the side of local, state, and federal politicians who are not honoring pledges to their constituents or the Constitution.
